Fun at East Barnby!

June 17th, 2015

For the last two evenings, I have taken a detour on my way home to visit our fabulous Year Six children and the brilliant staff who have given their time and energy to be with them during their adventure holiday. The children have been at one with their surroundings, bright, bubbly and very excited to tell me all about their experiences. Yesterday, they faced their fear of heights and climbed rock faces. During the evening, they sledged and made bin bag fashion! Today, they have tried body boarding on the waves of Whitby. They took part in beck scrambling and came back wet, muddy and happy!
The staff that take children to East Barnby are amazing. They are dedicated and generous with their time and energy. They are on call 24 hours a day and work hard to ensure that every child has the best experience possible. They nurture and challenge children, encourage and support them. They even find time during the evening (when most of us are relaxing with a cuppa) to write on the blog! Finding a precious few moments away from the children and somewhere where wi-fi is accessible is a tall order sometimes!
I’d like to take a moment to thank Mrs Murton, Mrs Hall, Mr Murton and Mrs Weyell for giving up their time to be with the Roseberry family rather than their own and to our Year Six children for trying hard, being brave, being fabulous and having a great sense of humour. East Barnby – what an amazing experience!
