It’s official – Roseberry Academy is a GOOD school!

January 19th, 2018

I am delighted to inform you that we have received our final report from Ofsted, following a very successful inspection in November. The report reflects and celebrates the hard work and dedication of staff and children and their positive attitudes to learning. It highlights the many strengths of our school and the areas for development that we are already working on.

I am so very, very proud of every member of our school family and congratulate them wholeheartedly – well done!

The grades for each area are as follows:

Overall effectiveness: Good

Effectiveness of leadership and management: Good

Quality of teaching, learning and assessment: Good

Personal development, behaviour and welfare: Outstanding

Outcomes for pupils: Good

Early years provision: Good

Ofsted Report November 2017

What an achievement! Our Governors and senior members of the Enquire Learning Trust have congratulated us and the following was received from the Local Authority this week:

Ofsted Inspection of Roseberry Academy

Please accept my congratulations for the successes that were recognised in your inspection report.

Receiving a good outcome, especially under this challenging framework, is a significant achievement and I am really pleased for you, the staff, governors and children.

It was a delight to read about your nurturing and inclusive school where strong leadership has developed a ‘family atmosphere’, resulting in outstanding and impeccable behaviour and exemplary attitudes to learning. You must be pleased that the significant improvements that you have made with regard to pupil outcomes, not only for all pupils but also for the most vulnerable pupils in your school, and the high quality start they receive in EYFS was recognised by the inspection team.

Thank you so much for all that you are doing and please accept my very best wishes for your future achievements. I know that you and the school team will build on these successes and continue to provide good provision.

Once again well done, thank you for your hard work and good luck with the next stage of the journey.

Yours sincerely

Paul Brennan

Assistant Director, Education and Skills

Register with the Co-op to raise money for our children!

January 12th, 2018

In November we were thrilled to be told that Roseberry Academy would be supported by the Co-op of Great Ayton via their Local Community Fund. This support will last until 27th October 2018.

So far the fund has generated £40 for our school. The great thing is that the more we use it and tell people to nominate us, the more the children of our Roseberry family will benefit.

What to do:

Step 1: Become a member at the Great Ayton Branch
Step 2: Register your card online and nominate Roseberry Academy as your chosen charity.  There may be others so this is important!
If you are already a Co-op member make sure you log in to your account and change your chosen charity to Roseberry Academy.
Step 3: Spread the word – encourage family and friends to become members and nominate Roseberry Academy.

Let’s see how much money our community can raise for our children!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and that you are looking forward to the new year.

A new year brings hope and optimism. It gives us an opportunity to reflect upon the past and be excited about what the future holds. It’s a time when we make resolutions and promises.

This year, I have promised never to take a day for granted. Every day is precious and I’m looking forward to sharing every school day with my Roseberry family!
