Another busy week of challenge and fun!

September 22nd, 2017

We’ve had another busy week, filled with learning through fun! I’ve seen some super writing from Key Stage One and Two children who have been referring to their Steps to Success, editing and peer-editing their work and using extremely challenging vocabulary with confidence – words such as devastated and diminutive!   EYFS children have been showing off their mark making skills during ‘squiggle while you wiggle’ and Year One children have been trying hard to learn new sounds during phonics.

It was lovely to see so many parents attending our early phonics and reading information sessions on Thursday evening – proving that we really are partners in children’s learning!

Some of our Year Six children started a Bikeability course this week, learning how to be safe when riding their bikes on the road. Passing the course will mean that they can ride their bikes to school (wearing their cycling helmets) without an adult chaperone. Good luck, folks!
