Brilliant book sale!

June 17th, 2017

Yesterday, we continued to work on creating our new library – a job that Mrs Davies and Mr Murton have been busy doing in their spare time. Some of the books were a little old but we decided that rather than throwing them away, we’d sell them for 20p each. This would mean that children could buy cheap books and we’d have a little more money in our school fund. We raised £32.40 in 20 minutes! Can you work out how many books we sold?

My suggestion for money saving would be to reuse some of the exercise books from year to year. There have been several occasions when my children have brought home books that have been hardly used and then they are given a new one at the beginning of the year.

Great minds think alike – we did this last year with literacy books. It saves money and enables us to see progress. Thanks for your comment.
