SCHOOL BUDGETS ARE AT BREAKING POINT

Education funding is falling and schools will suffer:

  • fewer teaching and support staff
  • less support for children
  • larger class sizes

The NAHT, NUT, UNISON, GMB, UNITE and ATL are working together to secure more money for schools.

The National Association of Head Teachers (NAHT) is working alongside its members in campaigning for the government to take urgent action on school funding. The NAHT ‘Breaking Point’ report shows that schools are struggling to balance their books, and   according to the Department for Education’s own data the education system will be running a £3bn deficit by 2020.

Despite what the government says, school budgets are not protected. The NAHT is at the forefront of efforts to expose this and make the case for a reversal of the real terms reductions that all schools are facing. Please see the flier sent home today (12th May 2017) for further details and information of how you may make your voice heard. Thank you for your support.
