A wonderful harvest celebration!

October 23rd, 2016

I was overwhelmed on Friday morning when I saw the vast array of flowers in the lower school entrance. Seeing children walking up the street with bunches of beautiful flowers was a wonderful sight and made me realise how our generosity can impact upon others. The children and adults who delivered flowers to members of our local community did an amazing job and certainly brought smiles to people in need of a bit of ‘cheer up’. Our harvest assembly was lovely. Children from Year One to Year Six spoke clearly and the singing from the school and our wonderful choir made me tingle. Thank you to Mrs Murton and Mrs Stanley for their hard work during hymn practices – it paid off! Huge thanks go to Mrs Dawson, who coordinated the flower deliveries again this year – it’s a mammoth task!

Finally, I’d like to express sincere thanks to the members of our school family who came to join us at this special event. We had anticipated one hundred guests and were delighted when we had to find extra chairs! Thank you for your ongoing support for our amazing school. I hope you all have a very well deserved half term break.
