Three cheers for our Roseberry family!

July 19th, 2016

As we come to the end of this academic year, I can’t help but reflect upon the fantastic amount of work that has taken place since September. I never cease to be amazed at the drive, energy and passion of our staff, who are dedicated to offering the best holistic education for our children. Through reflection and revision of policies and practice, they strive to ensure that lessons are fun, engaging, relevant, and matched to the need of each child. Teachers know where every child is in their learning journey and where to take them next, offering challenge and planning for their next steps in learning. This is a true skill and I am grateful that we have such talented staff. The support we receive from parents and carers is invaluable in helping children grow. It has been lovely to see so many parents and carers being involved in their children’s learning. It has also been a delight to work with committed and dedicated parents through RAFT who work incredibly hard to make sure our children have those little extras that make all the difference. Our governors work hard, often behind the scenes, with senior staff to plan the strategic direction of our school. They offer challenge in a supportive way and ensure that our school strives to be the best it can be. Members of our wider community have also made this year special. There are far too many to name, but these special people regularly volunteer their time and skills for our children. They are our school friends who make a big difference! Finally, I reflect upon our fabulous children who make our school special and the hard work worthwhile. They are excited and enthused about their learning, they care for one another and are proud of our school, they see the magic of the world and they make us smile. Thank you to everyone for such a wonderful year. There are many days when I don’t want to get out of bed in the morning, but never a day I don’t want to come to school. Three cheers for our Roseberry family!

A brilliant sports morning!

July 1st, 2016

Not even black clouds and the threat of rain could prevent us from enjoying our fabulous sports morning. Thank you to Miss Burke and Daisy Chain for arranging this event and to all of the adults who helped to set everything up. It was lovely to have our Roseberry family together, having fun and supporting one another!
