Celebrating our new stage!

An amazing performance to open our new stage!

November 24th, 2015

Last week, Thompsons’ Schools of Ballet opened our brand new stage! The stage was bought with the money raised by RAFT and a very generous donation from the ballet schools. Mrs Thompson cut the ribbon and we all cheered. We were then treated to a beautiful performance by ballerina, Sarah, and a film of some of our Roseberry family performing in a ballet. What a super way to open our new stage!

Let’s make our world a better place…

November 16th, 2015

This morning, we joined together to think about our global family and why it is so important to live in peace. We had a minute of silence to make promises to ourselves to be kind to others, whatever their colour, religion or beliefs.
We thought about how much safer and happier the world would be if everyone decided to care for one another. We learned that terrorism should not scare us and make us weak, and that we should join together and be strong, looking after one another and celebrating our differences.
I felt really proud of everyone and Harry in Year One finished our assembly beautifully by stating that we should ‘share God’s love’.

Love in a box

November 16th, 2015

Thank you to everyone who donated gifts for the children of Romania during our Love in a box campaign. We collected twenty two boxes in total and Reverend Peverell came to fetch them on Friday. These were taken to Church, where there was a special service on Sunday. Local schools and members of the Church also donated gifts. What a lovely feeling you will have on Christmas morning, knowing that a little boy or girl thousands of miles away will be opening your gift.

Roseberry remembers…

November 11th, 2015

This morning, at 11 o’clock, the Roseberry family joined together in the lower school hall to remember the men and women who gave their lives in conflict. I was so very proud of everyone. It was a moving experience for all. Roseberry remembers…

Amazing writers!

November 6th, 2015

I have been amazed at the quality of writing at Roseberry this week! Yesterday, three of our Year Four boys came to see me with their most recent pieces of writing. They had tried to use ambitious vocabulary and mirror the style of a famous author. I feel so proud of them, I just have to share their work with you! Take a peek and let me know what you think!
