We live and learn in a beautiful place!

April 25th, 2015

Last night, I looked at Mr Moore’s class blog and saw a wonderful photograph of children sketching one of our marvellous trees. I couldn’t help but feel very lucky about the environment in which we live and learn each day. As a young teacher, I worked in a large inner city school on a main road. My classroom overlooked Kwik Save and we had to walk through the long terraced streets for twenty minutes to get to a recreation ground for our PE lessons!

Although we sometimes become disheartened at the fact that our school buildings are old and need refurbishing, we must stop to look around and be thankful that we are privileged to be in the middle of such a beautiful landscape every day. Nature lifts the spirit and feeds the soul – it’s no wonder I feel so happy coming to school every day!
