Our fabulous family!

March 28th, 2015

As we come to the end of another busy term, I can’t help reflecting upon the success of our school family. The atmosphere in our school has recently been described by a visitor as ‘spiritual’. This is because we care for one another. The relationships between members of our school are warm and based upon humour and mutual respect. We share the same goals and dreams. It really is a great privilege to lead such a fabulous family. I wish you all a very happy, well deserved, Easter break!

Teachers make a difference!

March 23rd, 2015

Today, Thomas thanked Mrs Murton for teaching him, stating ‘Thanks, Miss. I get this now!’ It’s feedback like this that makes all the hard work worthwhile for a teacher!

Exciting eclipse!

March 20th, 2015

We had a very exciting time during assembly this morning! We watched the BBC live link to see the solar eclipse for ourselves. We learned about how an eclipse takes place, with children representing the sun, moon and Earth. It felt very strange when the hall started to go dark – it felt as though night time was on its way! We love science at Roseberry!IMG_0146

Super behaviour is always appreciated!

March 19th, 2015

I was delighted to receive an email from our school photographer today which stated:

Just a brief note to say how exemplary your children were on Tuesday when I did the class photographs. It was a real pleasure to work with them .

The older children were asked to form their own friendship groups for the cluster and this was done brilliantly with no one left on their own and really responsible I thought they  were.

I was also given the great news from Harry and Dan’s dad today that the behaviour of our Key Stage Two children during the visit to The Sage was super.

I feel very proud today!

A day of culture for KS2

March 16th, 2015

I was delighted to hear that our Key Stage Two children thoroughly enjoyed experiencing live classical music at the Sage today. They were also inspired, intrigued and bemused by the examples of contemporary art they saw!

Thank you to Mrs Collins for organising the visit and to the adults who volunteered to help –  the visit wouldn’t have been possible without you!

Congratulations to the children for their super behaviour.

What a great day!

Comic Relief fun!

March 14th, 2015

Everyone looked fabulous yesterday as we raised money for Comic Relief. So far we have raised £420, with more money due to come in! I left school last night feeling very proud of the Roseberry family. We had fun and raised money for people who are not as fortunate as us. We also learned that smiles are absolutely free and can brighten everyone’s day!

Welcome to my blog!

Welcome to my blog!

I am very excited that the Roseberry family is now able to communicate with the world through blogging.

I will be letting you know what’s going on each week – what children have been learning and why they have made me feel proud!

Please follow our Academy blogs and feel free to leave your comments – blogging conversations will be very exciting indeed!
